National Mourning Day 2022

National Mourning Day 2022 and the 47th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Shishu Polli Plus observes the National Mourning Day 2022 and 47th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman today in a dignified and respectful approach.  

As part of the celebration programme the national flag is kept hoisted half-mast at our school. Shishu Polli Plus organized art competition, poem recitation, essay writing and discussion on the life and work of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Shishu Polli Plus school. 

One hundred and twenty-five students and thirty vulnerable single mothers participated in the art competition in six groups on the theme of Bangabandhu and Bangladesh. Twenty-three students took part in poem recitation in three groups. Ten students participated in the essay competition in two groups. A discussion was also held where Patricia Kerr, Director Overseas and Mozammal Haque, Manager Operations were the discussants. They gave a brief to the children about the story of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  

The observation of national mourning day 2022 ended with the prize-giving ceremony. The first, second and third place holders of each group of every competition were awarded prizes.
